Refund Policy

Last updated · May 10, 2026

The retreat is a small-group experience with a fixed-cost structure: villas, coaches, transport, and meals are all locked in before you arrive. This policy is written to be fair to you and to the people running the trip. If you have questions about anything below, email me directly.

Payment

You can pay in one of two ways:

Pay in full at booking.

50% deposit at booking. The remaining balance is auto-charged 60 days before the retreat begins.

Both options follow the same refund schedule below.

If you cancel

"Days before arrival" is counted from the retreat start date. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Transfers

You can transfer your spot to a friend at any time, free of charge. Email me with their name and contact info and I'll handle the swap. The new guest takes over your payment status and is bound by this same policy.

If I cancel

If I have to cancel a retreat before it starts (under-enrollment, force majeure, anything outside your control), you'll receive a full refund.

If the retreat is cut short during the event due to weather or force majeure (hurricane, natural disaster, government action), you'll receive a prorated credit toward a future edition equal to the portion of the retreat affected.

Hurricanes & weather

June through November is Atlantic hurricane season in the Yucatán. Tulum rarely takes a direct hit, but disruption is possible. If a named storm forces cancellation before the retreat, the "If I cancel" terms above apply. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for anything weather-related affecting your flights or arrival.

Travel insurance

I strongly recommend travel insurance for every guest. It covers the things outside my control (flight cancellations, illness, family emergencies) that would otherwise push you into a "non-refundable" window through no fault of your own. A basic policy typically runs $50 to $100.
